APCG通信vol.5 「APCG2024/ユース・サミット実行委員会　委員長よりご挨拶」

2024年、第18回アジア太平洋ギフテッド教育研究大会(APCG2024)を、日本で初めて開催できることを大変嬉しく思います。この大会は、アジア太平洋ギフテッド協議会(APFG)が２年に１度開催する国際研究発表大会です。

本大会テーマは、「ギフテッドの心、生活、地域社会を変革する教育環境とは」としました。大会期間中は、国内外の中学生を対象としたユース・サミットも開催されます。ユース・サミットのテーマは「グローカルに世界を結び、持続的で公正な未来を実現する」です。

才能ある子どもたちは私たちの身近にいます。ギフテッド教育について風景明媚な瀬戸内の会場で皆さんと熱い議論を交わしましょう。世界の多様なギフテッド教育の考え方や最新の知見が共有されます。多様性の中で輝く個性が協調し合える社会の実現へ向けて教育が進化することを期待します。

【Greetings from the Chairman of the organization committee of APCG2024/Youth Summit】

In 2024, we are delighted to host the 18th Asia-Pacific Conference on Giftedness (APCG2024) in Japan for the first time. This conference is the biennial international conference of the Asia-Pacific Federation on Giftedness (APFG).

The conference theme is “Educational Environments for Transforming Gifted Minds, Lives, and Communities.” During the conference, a Youth Summit for junior high school students from Japan and abroad will also be held. The theme of the Youth Summit is “Connecting the World Glocally to Ensure a Sustainable and Equitable Future.”

Gifted children are all around us. Join us in the scenic Setouchi area for a lively discussion on the education of gifted and talented children. We will share different ideas and the latest research and practice worldwide. We hope that education will evolve towards the realization of a society in which diverse people can live together with their individuality shining through.
