Silverman, L. K. (2013). Giftedness 101. New York: Springer Publishing.

 

幅広い読者を対象とした内容ですが、研究に裏付けられており、研究者にもおすすめです。心理学者である著者のSilverman氏は、才能教育の主なテーマ（例えば、生まれ持つのものか、それとも育成できるものかといった議論）を挙げ、対立する見解も紹介した上で、著者自身のスタンスも示しています。

本書の主な目的は、①才能児に対する勘違いを覆すこと、②心理学的な真実として「才能」を捉えること、そして③才能児は特別なニーズのあるグループという認識を広げることです。

この本を読むと、他の才能教育の書籍の理解も進み、深まります。
